How do I take care of my flute? |
 |
After disassembling the
flute carefully, place on a flat surface. |
 |
Pull one corner of the
swab through the end of cleaning rod. Wrap the remaining
cloth around the cleaning rod. |
 |
Insert the cleaning swab
through the head joint, body joint, and foot joint,
to remove excess moisture. |
 |
Wipe the instrument's
surface with a polishing cloth. When wiping, take care
to press gently on the keys to avoid scratching or damaging
the pads. |
 |
Keep the flute case dry.
Do not store unnecessary objects inside the case, especially
used cleaning cloths. The moisture from the cloth can
generate humidity and mold on the pads. |

to? |

Avoid contact with the
keys during assembly and disassembly. |
 |
Do not press the lip
plate when holding the head joint. |
 |
Assemble and disassemble
the joints with gentle twisting motions in a straight
line. Make sure not to angle the joints as you twist
them on or off. |
 |
Key oil may be applied
very sparingly to the pivot points of the instrument.
Use carefully as excessive lubricant may affect padding. |
 |
Place the flute in a
safe place to avoid damage. Do not put it on a music
stand, a chair, or on any surface that it can easily
roll off and fall. |
 |
Do not attempt to adjust
the flute yourself. |
