How do I assemble my saxophone?
Step 1. Apply a liberal amount of cork grease onto the mouthpiece cork of the neck assembly.
Step 2. Apply a small amount of cork grease to the base of the of neck assembly. Insert neck base into the body section.
Step 3. Join the mouthpiece and the neck assembly together with a gentle, twisting motion. Allow the mouthpiece to be positioned to leave approximately 2 cm ("3/4) cork exposed. Tighten the neck taking care not to over-tighten.
Step 4. Remove mouthpiece cap. Secure reed to the mouthpiece with the supplied ligature. Make sure the tip of the reed aligns with the tip of the mouthpiece. Avoid over tightening the ligature screws.
How do I disassemble my saxophone?
Step 1. Loosen the neck screw after playing and remove neck from body section.
Step 2. Separate the mouthpiece from the neck with a gentle, twisting motion.
Step 3. Remove reed and place in a safe place to dry.
How do I take care of my saxophone?
Draw a cleaning swab through the body section to remove any excess moisture.
Wipe the body and the keys gently with the supplied cleaning cloth. Take care not to scratch or damage the body or keys by improper handling.
Clean and dry the mouthpiece and reed. To lengthen the life of the reed, store the reed in a reed protector.
What else should I pay attention to ?
Use key oil sparingly to all pivot points to keep the keys operating smoothly.
To avoid damaging the key mechanism, do not exert excess pressure on the keys during assembly and disassembly.
To avoid damage after playing, put the saxophone in a safe place such as an instrument case or a suitable instrument stand. Do not put it on a chair, desk, or anywhere else where it could easily fall.
To increase pad life, do not brush pad surface with abrasive materials.
Don't apply polishing liquids to instrument's surface. Use of these polishes may harm the finish as well as cause sticking pads. Use a soft cloth for cleaning only.
Do not expose any instrument to excessive temperature or humidity
For adjustment or repair, take your instrument to a qualified technician or dealer. Do not attempt to adjust the saxophone yourself.
